Originally a vegetable grower, the owner of “Vilydo” decided to establish a contract grower piggery for the Burnett Pork Alliance.

FSA Consulting was oringally contracted to prepare the development application for a 2600 SPU grower-finisher piggery on “Vilydo”.

Through consultation, FSA Consulting produced a piggery design using industry best practice, legislative requirements, the sites topography, contract grower preferences and the contact supplier requirements.

The final piggery design was able to meet the needs of piggery operator while still being approved by all governing agencies.

In September 2002, FSA Consulting were contacted to prepare an application for an expansion to 3910 SPU. The expansion application received approval and the additional sheds have since been built.
